A 4x4 vehicle is needed — the villa sits on a steep hillside road, and a 4x4 is also ideal for reaching the beaches, waterfalls and restaurants along the Costa Ballena.
What's the best time of year to visit?
The dry season (December–April) offers the sunniest weather; the green season (May–November) is quieter and lush, with brief afternoon showers. Humpback whales visit twice a year — December–March and July–November.
